Pastor Johnny E. Scott
Pastor Johnny Edward Scott was born in Pfafftown, NC, and is the 10th child of 12, born to the late Charlie Leon Scott and Mrs. Mary Greene Scott. He attended the Forsyth County Schools, and graduated from North Forsyth High School, where he was a member of the Basketball and Track Teams.
Pastor Scott retired from Lowes Home Improvement Stores after 30 years of service; where he served as Delivery Driver and Receiving Supervisor. He studied Theology and Biblical Studies at Salt Lake Bible College (Distant Learning Program).
He married his best friend and love of his life, Deborah L. Lipscomb on Christmas Eve, 1981. To this union, they were blessed with 2 children, Jekea Nicole Scott, and Ezra Josiah Scott.
Pastor Scott accepted his call into the Ministry at the age of 21. He preached his initial sermon on April 10, 1982 at the Center Grove A.M.E. Zion Church, Tobaccoville, NC; under the leadership of the late Rev. John L. Bennett. Three months after preaching his initial sermon, he was called to pastor the Forbush Baptist Church, Huntsville, NC.
Pastor Scott is also Founder and Pastor of Rhema Deliverance Ministries, Winston-Salem, NC.
Pastor Scott was called to serve as Senior Pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Yadkinville, NC in 2013. He enjoys teaching and preaching the word of God. He also enjoys singing, basketball, and fishing. His favorite Scripture is Philippians 4:19 ~ "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
